Learn more about us

The iSOFT User Group (Primary Care) is a group of users that is constituted entirely independently from iSOFT. The group exists to represent the interests of all the users of iSOFT Primary Care software.

The group was originally formed in 1992 as the AAH Meditel User Group: we were a Company Limited by Guarantee and this is still our legal status today. We have adopted a number of trading names over the years to match the changing ownership of the software: we have been AMUG (AAH Meditel User Group), TUG (Torex User Group) and iSUG (iSOFT User Group) and some of our older members may be able to remember other incarnations! When in 2000 AAH and its software was acquired by Torex, to protect itself from future expensive name changes to our company papers the User Group changed its legal name to Medical Software User Group, and we simply change our name in the ‘trading as…’ definition to reflect the name of each new owner of the clinical software.
